This weekend I celebrated yet another birthday!I'm officially 25.
While I wouldn't describe this birthday as being a letdown, I couldn't help but notice that there was considerably less hoopla....
Eddie and my mom were extra sneaky and threw me a surprise dinner on Friday night (2 days early). My friends and family joined me for loads of food and cake and presents.
This year's "big" present is considerable more tame than last year's.

I have matured so much!
I also received a portable sewing machine (I'm starting a quilting class at the end of the month) and a whole quilting kit!
When I mentioned to my mother that my birthdays are filled with less and less giddiness each year, she sent me away with this helpful observation:
"By the time I was your age, I had 3 kids and a mortgage....Happy Birthday."
Touché!

The best thing about turning 25... cheaper car insurance. My car insurance agent even sent me a birthday card that year because of it. Kinda funny.
